We are the Indiana Friends Committee on Legislation. We work with friends in the Quaker community and beyond to address critical issues that affect the daily lives of our families, friends, and neighbors.
We work together to express our social concerns through personal visits and correspondence with Indiana legislators, as well as through testimony before legislative committees on these topics.
In 2023, the Indiana General Assembly has submitted over 704 bills. An overwhelming number for any citizen to follow. We have divided traditional Quaker interests of health, education, environment and restorative justice among our members who consider the impact of specific bills and support or challenge them as we are led.
