State Senator Fady Qaddoura speaks to Quakers

It isn’t every day that an Indiana State Senator who graduated from Ramallah Friends School speaks to an Indiana Friends Committee on Legislation session at Western Yearly Meeting.

But Friday, July 12, was one of those special days. Those who attended were inspired by Senator Fady Qaddoura’s life story and his appreciation for the Quaker school in Ramallah that has served that community for over 100 years. (Despite the turmoil in Ramallah, this year’s graduating class of 143 students all passed the International Baccalaureate curriculum.)

Senator Qaddoura also addressed concerns about affordable housing, education, environment and voting issues.
